Asim Ahmed

Hi, I’m Asim, I joined the fantastic team at The Dental Health Centre in 2021 and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

I received my Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2016 from the University of Manchester. Following this, I have provided general dental care across multiple practices in Greater Manchester.

Alongside my provision of general dental care, I have a keen interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

I have completed multiple post graduate courses so that in addition to general dentistry, I provide minor tooth alignment using clear aligners and ethical smile makeovers; using minimally invasive techniques (this means enabling treatment to improve your smile with less need for drilling tooth tissue).

I have further improved my understanding of restorative dentistry by undertaking post graduate training and receiving my diploma at the prestigious King’s College Dental Institute, London. These qualifications mean that I can also provide treatment for more complex restorative cases, including tooth loss and severe tooth wear.

These further qualifications have also allowed me to undertake a role at the University of Leeds as an honorary clinical teaching fellow in restorative dentistry where I am involved in the training of future dentists.

I also have an interest in treating anxious patients and ensuring patients feel comfortable and well informed is very important in my work.

When the dental tools are put down for the evening, I enjoy travelling, playing cricket and watching my beloved Manchester United, as well as spending time with family.

“Asim Ahmed was really great. It was a very positive experience” – Elizabeth
