What Our Patients Say
This is by far the best Dentist I have ever been to the front staff so friendly to put you at ease and Asim has looked after me so well in a process I have had done with Invisualine and other dentist work I never have any worries about coming here for any treatment.
-Carol Ashton · Nov 2024
Before visiting The Dental Health Centre in early 2021, aged 33, I could count on both hands the number of times I'd been to the dentist in my life. I'd read that the team specialised in nervous patients and I'm so glad I took the plunge. Everyone that I've had contact with, from the reception team, to the nurses, hygienist and of course Dr Asim have been so friendly and patient, helping me to overcome my fears. I always felt comfortable asking questions, was able to make informed decisions on my treatment and never felt like I was being 'hard-sold'. Fast forward two years, I now have straighter, whiter and healthier teeth, and actually quite enjoy going to the dentist. I used to hate smiling and have had to learn to smile with my teeth on show rather than keeping my mouth closed. Thank you Dr Asim and the wonderful team, you have genuinely helped change my life!

Straighten your teeth
without the metal
Most adults aren’t looking for a completely different smile. They simply want to feel more confident when they smile, stop hiding their teeth in photographs, close a gap or straighten teeth that have become crowded over time. Invisalign offers a discreet alternative to traditional fixed braces. There are no brackets or wires. You can remove the aligners when you eat, drink and clean your teeth, then put them back in afterwards.
For many people, that’s what makes Invisalign particularly appealing: you can work, socialise, travel and get on with everyday life without traditional visible braces.
From your first appointment
to the smile you’ve been working towards
Nothing starts until you’ve had the opportunity to understand your treatment plan and what it involves.
Assessment
We’ll look at your teeth, gums and bite, talk about what you’d like to change and explain whether Invisalign could achieve it.
3D digital scan
We’ll use a handheld digital scanner to create a 3D model of your teeth. There’s no need for traditional impression trays.
Your plan on screen
Your dentist will show you the planned movement of your teeth and explain your treatment options before you decide whether to proceed.
Wearing your aligners
You’ll wear each set of aligners as advised before moving on to the next set. We’ll see you for regular progress checks along the way.
Keeping your results
Once treatment is complete, you’ll be provided with retainers and guidance on how to wear them. Retention is an important part of keeping your teeth straight long term.
Invisalign vs
traditional fixed braces
Both Invisalign and fixed braces can be effective ways to straighten teeth. The right option depends on your teeth, your bite and your individual treatment goals.

Invisalign FAQs
Will people be able to tell I’m wearing Invisalign?
Usually not. The aligners are clear and designed to fit closely over your teeth, making them much less noticeable than traditional braces.
Some patients may need small tooth-coloured attachments to help the aligners grip certain teeth. Your dentist will explain whether these are likely to be needed as part of your treatment plan.
Is Invisalign painful?
Most people describe feeling some pressure or tightness rather than significant pain, particularly when moving to a new set of aligners.
This usually settles as your teeth adjust. If you experience ongoing discomfort or an aligner is rubbing, let your dental team know so they can help.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Treatment time depends on how much your teeth need to move and the complexity of your case.
Some mild cases may be completed in around six months, while more comprehensive treatment can take longer. Your dentist will give you an estimated treatment time following your assessment.
How do I know if I’m suitable for Invisalign?
The best way to find out is to have an assessment.
We’ll check the health of your teeth and gums, look at your bite and assess how much movement is needed. If Invisalign isn’t the most suitable option for you, we’ll explain why and discuss the alternatives.
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost depends on your individual treatment needs.
You’ll receive a written treatment plan and price following your assessment and scan, before you decide whether to proceed. Finance options are also available to help spread the cost.
Can I eat and drink normally with Invisalign?
Yes. You remove your aligners when eating, so you don’t have to avoid particular foods.
You should remove them for drinks other than plain water, as hot or coloured drinks can stain or affect the aligners.
What happens if I lose an aligner?
Don’t panic. Contact us and we’ll advise you what to do based on where you are in your treatment.
It’s important to let us know rather than simply leaving the aligners out, as this can affect your treatment progress.
Will my teeth stay straight after Invisalign?
You’ll need to wear retainers to help maintain your results.
Teeth naturally move throughout life, so retention is an important part of orthodontic treatment. We’ll explain your retainer options and how often you should wear them.
I’m nervous about dental treatment. Is Invisalign suitable for me?
For some nervous patients, Invisalign can feel more manageable because the aligners are removable and treatment doesn’t involve brackets, wires or injections.
We’ll always talk to you about how you’re feeling and make sure you understand what will happen before treatment begins.

What would you like to change about your smile?
Clear aligners can help with a range of everyday orthodontic concerns. Explore some of the changes patients commonly want to make.
Crowded teeth
Teeth that overlap or sit too closely together because there isn’t enough space for them to align comfortably.
Gaps between teeth
Spaces between your teeth that you’d like to reduce or close, including a gap between your front teeth.
Crooked or rotated teeth
Teeth that sit out of line, overlap or have rotated, often the teeth you notice most when you smile.
Overbite or underbite
When your upper and lower teeth don’t meet as evenly as they should. Some bite concerns can be treated with clear aligners, while others may need a different approach.
See what’s possible for your smile
Every smile is different. At your assessment, we’ll look at your teeth, bite and what you’d like to change, then explain what treatment could realistically achieve for you.
