Dominic Pett

Hi I’m Dominic and I joined the practice in 2005.

I qualified at Sheffield Dental Hospital in 2000, going on to complete my Royal College of Surgeons examination at Edinburgh in 2002. This provided me with experience across the full range of specialties including Oral Surgery at Preston Royal , Restorative Dentistry at Manchester Dental Hospital alongside my vocational training in Nottinghamshire and Community Paediatric Dentistry in East Manchester. During these early years I took an opportunity to take a 6 month sabbatical working for a charity promoting HIV and AIDS awareness in West and East Africa.

All that was before joining The Dental Health Centre in 2005, where I put into practice everything that that I had learnt from these experiences.

Over the years I have supplemented this knowledge and these skills with further learning and courses in multiple areas of dentistry, including the Tipton Restorative year long course, ‘Smilefast’ cosmetic course and Invisalign, to straighten teeth, which I have been providing at The Dental Health Centre for a number of years. In addition, I maintain a healthy interest in Endodontic (root treatment) dentistry where I intend to undertake a Master’s degree.

The broad set of knowledge and experience I have gained over the years ensures that I will endeavour to offer you a high standard of dental care, appropriate to your needs.

Outside of dentistry it’s the wider world that captivates me in all it’s many guises. From nature, horticulture and exploration, to world affairs and reading about the great artists, there is little that does not catch my imagination or interest.

“Dominic is a brilliant dentist – I feel completely safe with him. The fact that he’s absolutely hilarious and keeps a running patter while he works us a great bonus. I almost look forward to going to the dentist which is something you don’t say very often!” – Alice
